Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger, better known as the "Tiger", was a German heavy tank that became famous during World War II. It was characterized by unparalleled firepower and armor that made it a real fortress on the battlefield.
Over time, this tank gained enormous respect among the Allies, who had to face its extraordinary effectiveness. Nevertheless, the production of the Tiger was expensive and time-consuming, and the limited number of tanks meant that their impact on the outcome of the war was not decisive.
During their service, the Tigers destroyed over 10,300 enemy tanks and 11,380 guns but also suffered their own losses - 1,725 destroyed machines. One of the most famous Tigers is no. 131, which was captured by the British in North Africa in 1943. See the real thing at The Tank Museum in Bovington!
