The Fw 190 F-8 was a development version of the legendary Fw 190 A-8, one of the most effective German fighters of World War II with additional armour, powerful armament and the ability to carry bombs.

Luftwaffe pilots called it the "Shrike" (German Würger), a bird of prey, fast, unpredictable and deadly.

The plane was armed with two MG 151/20 20 mm cannons and two MG 131 13 mm machine guns. It could carry a bomb under the fuselage and additional bombs under the wings. Thanks to its exceptional durability and effectiveness, the Fw 190 F-8 gained recognition among pilots, and its operational versions achieved many successes on the Eastern and Western Fronts.
